Seo Hee-je returns to entertainment following sister Seo Hee-won's death

Taiwanese entertainer Seo Hee-je has announced her return to public life approximately one year after the death of her sister, Seo Hee-won. In an interview with the September issue of VOGUE Taiwan, Seo Hee-je shared her emotional journey, noting that she still dreams of her sister almost every day.

Seo Hee-je expressed that while she feels it may be early to return to the spotlight, she decided to face the camera to honor her sister’s memory and follow the encouragement of her family. She mentioned that she carries a tattoo of the character ‘媛’ (Won) from her sister’s name as a tribute.

Seo Hee-won, a well-known figure in the Chinese-speaking entertainment industry, passed away in February last year due to complications from pneumonia following a trip to Japan. She was famously married to South Korean singer DJ Koo (Koo Jun-yup) after a high-profile reunion that occurred decades after their initial relationship in the 1990s. Following her passing, legal processes regarding her estate, including a luxury property in Taipei, have been finalized for her husband and two minor children.
