Seo Jung-hee reveals 50-year struggle with vasovagal syncope

Broadcaster Seo Jung-hee revealed on social media that she has suffered from vasovagal syncope for 50 years. She described a lifelong struggle with sudden fainting episodes, noting that she frequently collapsed starting from middle school due to severe anemia.

Seo shared a recent frightening incident where symptoms occurred while she was driving. She experienced blurred vision, nausea, cold sweats, and loss of strength in her hands, forcing her to pull over to the roadside to recover. She noted that she only recently learned the specific name of the condition through her daughter, Seo Dong-joo.

Seo expressed empathy for singer Lee Sang-soon, who recently paused his radio broadcasting activities due to the same neurological condition. Seo clarified that these symptoms are separate from her previous battle with breast cancer.
