Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho reach Korea Open men's doubles final
World number one men's doubles pair Seo Seung-jae and Kim Won-ho have advanced to the final of the BWF World Tour Korea Open Super 500. The duo secured their spot in the final after defeating Malaysia's Man Wei Chong and Teik Kai Yun with a score of 2-0 (21-17, 21-17) at the Jinnam Gymnasium in Yeosu.
This victory marks their first appearance in an international tournament final since the China Open in July, ending a streak of six consecutive tournaments without a final appearance. The pair, who set a record for the most titles in a single season last year, have struggled to secure a title since winning the Asian Championships in April.
Following the match, Seo Seung-jae noted that the team focused on playing their own game proactively rather than merely reacting to opponents. He also credited the home crowd's support for helping the pair regain confidence. They will face either the pairing of Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jong-min or the Japanese duo of Hokuto Takuro and Yugo Kobayashi in the final.
