Seocheon-gun hosts youth policy proposal contest

The 4th Seocheon-gun Youth Policy Proposal Contest was held at the Seocheon Youth Culture Center, where local youth presented eight policy ideas aimed at addressing community issues.

Proposed initiatives include the establishment of a youth creative space, a specialized career experience center linked to smart farm complexes, and the development of a real-time bus notification app. Other suggestions focused on climate change response through a ‘summer rest’ shop, the creation of elderly-friendly cafes inspired by Japanese models, and the establishment of a youth pop-up store in the Seocheon Specialized Market.

Seocheon County Governor Yoo Seung-kwang stated that the administration would listen to these fresh perspectives to support youth participation in local governance.
