Seocho-gu launches second short-form video contest

Seocho-gu in Seoul is hosting its second annual short-form video contest, titled ‘Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Pleasure: Seocho Stories.’ The competition invites residents and those based in the district to submit 40 to 60-second original videos.

Participants can choose between two themes: capturing the various emotions experienced within Seocho or highlighting gender equality in daily life. Notably, this year’s contest introduces two new categories: the ‘Gender Equality Award’ and the ‘AI Creation Award,’ the latter of which encourages the use of generative AI in video production.

Submissions are open until September 13. Winners will be announced on September 30, with an awards ceremony scheduled for late October. The contest offers a total prize pool of 3.9 million won, distributed among 40 winners and participants.
