Seocho-gu to host Seoul International Garden Show at Maeheon Citizens' Forest
Seocho-gu is hosting the Seoul International Garden Show at Maeheon Citizens' Forest from October 1 to 27. Under the theme ‘Seoul, Green Culture: Citizens' Garden’, the event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the forest by showcasing 51 different gardens created by artists, corporations, students, and citizens.
To expand the reach of the exhibition, the district is creating connected gardens along major walking routes, including the paths from Yangjae Citizens' Forest Station to Yeoui-cheon Stream. These enhancements include refurbished green belts, hanging flower pots on bridges, and modular gardens near local cafes. The Yeoui-cheon waterfront will also feature new rest areas with outdoor tea tables and designer benches.
In addition to the displays, the event will feature various cultural programs such as the ‘Yangjae Art Salon’, youth busking, and classical music performances by the youth ensemble ‘JINS’. Interactive experiences, including a ‘Wheeled Gardening’ program and various garden-making workshops, will be available to the public.
