Seochu District Launches Free Public‑Art and Culture Tour in Seoul
Seochu‑gu, a district of Seoul, will run the “Seochu‑Han River Art Tour” from 6 August to 30 August. The eight‑session program offers free guided tours of public‑art installations in the Gotŏ‑Sebit tourism zone, including the Picasso mural street, Wonder Street and other street‑level works. Professional docents from the Arts Center and other museums will explain the pieces in English and Korean.
Participants can also try hands‑on Korean‑traditional crafts such as lacquer‑sticker mirror decoration and painted fans. Each session lasts about 90 minutes, starts at 5 p.m., and accommodates roughly 30 people. Registration is on a first‑come, first‑served basis via a QR code on the tour poster or the Seochu‑Youth Art Gallery website. Mayor Jeon Seong‑su said the district will keep developing cultural‑tourism content to attract both domestic and foreign visitors to the Gotŏ‑Sebit area.
