Seogwipo to host Waterbomb festival to promote 2026 National Sports Festival

Seogwipo City will host the ‘2026 Waterbomb in Geumto Geumto Saeyeon Show’ on August 28 and 29. The event is scheduled to take place from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Saeyeon Bridge performance area and parking lots.

Designed to promote the successful hosting of the 2026 National Sports Festival and the National Para Games, the festival expands the existing ‘Geumto Geumto Saeyeon Show’ by adding water-based experiential programs. The event will feature cultural performances including dance, hip-hop, and DJ shows, alongside a fireworks display that will be extended to approximately four minutes.

To stimulate the local economy, the festival will include a food zone with approximately 15 food trucks and local vendors, two local beer providers, and 10 flea market stalls. Promotional booths will also be available to raise awareness for the upcoming national sports competitions and local commercial districts.
