Seohae-gu establishes new task force for Cheongna and Luwon City development

Seohae-gu in Incheon is establishing a dedicated organization to manage large-scale development projects and rapid urban changes in Cheongna International City and Luwon City. The new body aims to enhance cooperation between various departments, project implementers like LH and iH, and local institutions to minimize resident inconvenience and provide timely administrative support.

Key developments in the region include the relocation of Hana Financial Group's headquarters to Cheongna, which is expected to bring approximately 4,000 finance and IT professionals. Other major projects include the construction of Starfield Cheongna, slated for a 2027 opening, and a 2.4 trillion won medical complex featuring Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital. In Luwon City, the Incheon Regional Tax Office is expected to be completed by 2028.

To address rising population and traffic demands, Seohae-gu is also pushing for the extension of the Daejang-Hongdae Line to Cheongna to be included in the national railway plan. The district intends to collaborate with local politicians and neighboring Gyeyang-gu to improve Seoul accessibility and strengthen the metropolitan western transportation network.
