Seohae-gu strengthens public safety and infrastructure management
Seohae-gu in Incheon is launching a comprehensive safety management initiative as part of its new local administration term. The district plans to strengthen field responses by focusing on crime prevention, protection of the vulnerable, and infrastructure maintenance.
Key measures include upgrading crime prevention facilities by installing four new high-definition CCTV cameras (over 2 million pixels) and replacing 40 existing cameras and 100 emergency bells. To protect children and the elderly, the district will maintain traffic safety facilities in protected zones and expand traffic safety education from 4,439 participants this year to over 10,000 next year.
Infrastructure improvements will target 33 locations, including 11 bridges, 18 pedestrian overpasses, and 4 underpasses, for inspection and reinforcement. Additionally, the district will install fall prevention facilities for manholes, add 50 heatwave shade canopies, and install or replace 300 LED streetlights and 100 security lights to improve the pedestrian environment.
