SEOIL Corporation inaugurates first African factory in Settat, Morocco

South Korean group SEOIL Corporation has inaugurated its first African manufacturing facility in the LOGINTEK industrial and logistics zone in Settat, Morocco. This site marks the company’s ninth production location globally.

The factory covers 24,790 square meters and is designed to produce six billion straws annually. The output will be split equally between paper and polypropylene or biodegradable products. Approximately 95 percent of the production is intended for export to markets in Europe, the Americas, and Africa.

The project is expected to create over 270 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect positions. To ensure technical proficiency, Moroccan teams will undergo training programs, including opportunities to learn at the group’s other production sites in Asia. The facility will also incorporate sustainable technologies, such as photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting, and closed-loop water purification and recycling systems.
