Seongnam City achieves 6.3 billion KRW in medical tech export consultations

Seongnam City has achieved significant export results for its local medical technology companies. During the ‘2026 International Hospital and Healthtech Expo’ (KHF2026) held at COEX in Seoul, the city supported 10 local medical device and bio-healthcare firms. These companies recorded export consultations totaling approximately 6.35 billion KRW across 172 cases. Notably, companies such as Juvenew Co., Ltd. and e-Pharm Healthcare Co., Ltd. secured actual contracts worth about 766 million KRW, with additional negotiations underway for 1.47 billion KRW in contracts.

In addition to economic activities, the city is managing social welfare initiatives ahead of the Chuseok holiday. NH Nonghyup Bank's Seongnam branch donated 5,000 bags of new rice valued at 210 million KRW, while local bus companies provided gift sets and Onnuri gift certificates. These donations will be distributed to vulnerable groups, including low-income households and the elderly. The city is also preparing for the ‘2nd Seongnam Cheong-Cheong Festival,’ a cultural event expected to draw 4,000 participants.
