Seongnam City discusses healthcare cooperation with Mongolian delegation

Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin met with a delegation of Mongolian local government leaders to discuss expanding cooperation in healthcare, culture, education, and youth exchange. The delegation included heads of several Mongolian districts, including leaders from Khuvsgul, Tuv, and Arkhangai provinces, along with the president of the Mongolian Youth Federation.

A primary focus of the discussions was improving healthcare services in Mongolia. Proposed measures include introducing medical equipment from Seongnam-based companies to Mongolian medical institutions, providing training for equipment maintenance, and facilitating exchanges between medical professionals to share technical expertise.

Additionally, the Mongolian delegation requested an official invitation for the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar to attend the 17th Asia Sustainable Transport (EST) Forum, scheduled to be held in Seongnam in March 2027. Following the meeting, the delegation toured Seongnam’s smart city operations center, youth facilities, and a medical device training center to observe the city’s infrastructure and administrative systems.
