Seongnam names Daesang Asset Trust developer for Bundang Yangji Village project
On July 27, Seongnam city designated Daesang Asset Trust as the business executor for the integrated redevelopment of Yangji Village in Bundang’s Su‑nae‑dong area. The designation triggers restrictions on the transfer of co‑owner (조합원) rights, allowing transfers only for owners who have held the property for at least ten years and lived there for five years.
The redevelopment plan calls for a 37‑floor tower accommodating up to 6,839 households, up from the current 4,392, together with new roads, parks and parking facilities. A reconstruction committee will be formed this year and a construction firm is to be selected in early 2024. This appointment completes the executor designations for all four “leading‑district” (선도지구) redevelopment zones in Bundang, moving the projects into the implementation phase. City mayor Shin Sang‑bong said the city will continue administrative and financial support to keep the overall schedule on track.
