Seoripul Music Festival attracts 280,000 attendees in Seocho-gu

The 11th annual Seoripul Music Festival concluded in Seocho-gu, Seoul, drawing approximately 280,000 attendees. Held on September 19–20, the event transformed a 900-meter stretch of the 10-lane Banpo-daero road into a massive outdoor musical stage.

Under the theme ‘Seocho is the Music,’ the festival featured diverse genres. The first night focused on classical music, featuring the Seocho Symphony Orchestra, performers such as Hwang Su-mi and Son Tae-jin, and a special quartet composed of members from the LA Philharmonic. The second night transitioned to K-POP, with performances by Crying Nut, Jaurim, and Lee Seung-yoon.

Beyond musical performances, the festival included interactive programs like ‘The World’s Largest Sketchbook,’ where families used chalk to draw on the roadway, and various choir and kids' classical events. A collaboration with the character ‘Waldo’ featured a 10-meter sculpture and scavenger hunts. The event concluded with a community-led cleanup initiative titled the ‘41st Stage,’ where resident participation groups helped tidy the venue.
