Seoul districts launch mobile dog playgrounds and training programs

Districts in Seoul are launching mobile dog playgrounds to create more pet-friendly urban environments and reduce social conflicts between pet owners and non-owners.

In Jongno-gu, a mobile playground event will be held at Samcheong Park on October 3. The program features designated times for small and large dogs to run off-leash safely. In addition to play areas, the event offers professional consultations on animal behavior, hygiene grooming education, and health check-ups. Participants must have registered their pets and provided vaccination records.

Similarly, Gangnam-gu will operate a series of mobile playgrounds across Gaepo-dong, Segok-dong, and Sinsa-dong from October through November. These sessions include agility obstacle courses and expert-led programs covering pet etiquette, veterinary health checks, and behavior correction. The initiative aims to bring safe, off-leash spaces directly into residential neighborhoods.
