Seoul hosts Georg Baselitz retrospective and Ahn Chi-hwan album launch
The Sehwa Museum of Art in Seoul is hosting a retrospective exhibition for the late German Neo-Expressionist master Georg Baselitz. The exhibition features 46 works spanning 60 years of his career, with a particular focus on his late-period paintings. These recent works, created while the artist used a wheelchair or walker, include traces of his physical movement, such as wheelchair tracks and footprints, integrated into the canvases.
Separately, South Korean singer-songwriter Ahn Chi-hwan is set to release his 15th studio album, ‘Seize the Day’, in the second week of September. The album, which follows his previous release from last October, focuses on the importance of living in the present. To celebrate the release, Ahn will hold a solo concert titled ‘Singing of Autumn’ at Yeonnam Space in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on September 18 and 19, 2026.
