Seoul launches Han River Bus matchmaking program for singles

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is launching ‘Seoulting 2.0’, an upgraded matchmaking program for single men and women, set to take place on the Han River Bus on September 19. This new iteration aims to move beyond simple meetings by incorporating participants' interests and Seoul's landmarks into the experience.

The upcoming event at Ttukseom will feature river cruises, customized one-on-one dates, and couple recreation activities. To support long-term relationships, the city will provide post-event support, including online communities and ‘flutter date vouchers’ redeemable at local small businesses.

Previous iterations of the program have seen significant interest, with competition rates reaching as high as 36 to 1. Out of over 13,000 applicants across five previous events, 126 couples were matched, including one pair scheduled to marry this December. The upcoming event is fully sponsored by Shinhan Card. Applications are open to economically active single residents of Seoul aged 25 to 45 until October 4.
