Seoul metro dispute and Venice public indecency incidents go viral
A viral video from Seoul's Metro Line 2 has sparked intense debate in South Korea after an elderly man was filmed attempting to forcibly remove a young woman from a priority seating area. The footage shows the man grabbing the woman by her collar, prompting her to defend herself by kicking him. While some viewers criticized the woman's reaction, others defended her, noting the man initiated physical contact. Under South Korean law, yielding seats to vulnerable passengers—including the elderly, disabled, and pregnant women—is not a legal obligation, and no sanctions exist for refusing to move.
In a separate incident in Venice, Italy, a couple was filmed engaging in sexual activity on a public vaporetto water bus. The incident occurred on Line 1 traveling from San Marco toward Piazzale Roma, with numerous passengers witnessing the act. The footage has been shared with local authorities and the transport company, Avm-Actv. Under Italian law, such behavior may be classified as public obscenity, which carries potential fines of up to 30,000 euros. Local police are currently reviewing the footage to identify the individuals involved.
