Seoul National University Hospital consortium unveils 13 biohealth technologies
A consortium led by Seoul National University Hospital, including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Kangwon National University, and Kyungpook National University, has unveiled 13 promising biohealth technologies to accelerate commercialization and clinical application.
Key technological advancements presented include a multi-functional hydrogel developed through the collaboration of three institutions, designed for tissue regeneration and drug delivery. Other notable breakthroughs include a coacervate-based drug delivery platform from Seoul National University Hospital, which offers superior encapsulation efficiency and protein protection compared to traditional methods, and brain-vascular-brain tumor organoid assemblies from Bundang Seoul National University Hospital for cancer research.
Additionally, the consortium introduced a diagnostic biomarker for liver disease from Kyungpook National University and a long-acting drug delivery platform capable of carrying both hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs from Kangwon National University. The event, supported by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, included 20 one-on-one business meetings between researchers and seven companies to discuss technology transfers and future industrial cooperation.
