Seoul Samsung secures first three-game opening winning streak in 23 years

Seoul Samsung has achieved its first three-game opening winning streak in 23 years in the 2026-2027 KCC Professional Basketball league. The team secured an 82-81 victory over Goyang Sono at the Jamsil Students' Gymnasium on October 11.

Karemkanter was the decisive player, recording 20 points and 11 rebounds. Despite missing his first six three-point attempts, he successfully converted a buzzer-beating three-pointer with only 4.6 seconds remaining to overturn an 11-point deficit.

Under the leadership of new head coach Kim Sang-sik, the team has shown significant improvement in teamwork and resilience, moving away from a period of five consecutive last-place finishes. Other league results included Anyang Jung Kwan Jang defeating Changwon LG 88-65, and Suwon KT beating Busan KCC 87-81.
