Seoul Station Airport Terminal Gets Major Renovation by Airport Railroad

The Airport Railroad Co., Ltd. has completed a full renovation of the Seoul Station downtown airport terminal, introducing a numbered queue system and smart luggage scales to streamline check‑in procedures. Waiting areas have been expanded and passenger flow re‑organized, allowing travelers to complete ticketing, baggage drop‑off and immigration before boarding the direct train to Incheon International Airport.

The upgrades respond to rising demand: annual direct‑train passengers have risen to 2.66 million, a 35 % increase over 2019, while daily terminal users exceed 1,300 and can surpass 2,000 during holiday peaks. President Park Dae‑soo said the terminal “is the representative service of the Airport Railroad, and this renewal will let passengers start their trips more comfortably and leisurely.”
