Seoul to host World Youth Day 2027 amid Korean cultural events

Seoul is set to host the World Youth Day from August 3 to 8, 2027. Announced by Pope Francis, the event aims to bring young people from around the world to South Korea under the biblical theme, “Have courage: I have conquered the world!” To facilitate participation, various travel itineraries are being proposed, including trips through the United Arab Emirates and Turkey to connect Eastern and Western experiences.

In a separate cultural initiative, Milan will host the K-Food Pop-Up from September 17 to 26, 2026. Organized by the South Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the ten-day event at the Signature Kitchen Suite showroom will showcase Korean culture through food, beauty, K-Pop, and wellness activities, including cooking classes and yoga.
