SEPA Foundation launches Prevoral 2030 initiative in Spain
The SEPA Foundation, supported by Oral-B, has launched ‘Prevoral 2030’, an initiative designed to integrate oral health more deeply into the broader context of general health in Spain.
The project aims to investigate the hypothesis that increased investment in oral health promotion and the prevention of periodontal and oral diseases could positively impact overall health, quality of life, and the efficient use of healthcare system resources. A central component of the initiative is the development of a study titled ‘Study on the impact of investments in oral health promotion in Spain’.
This study will examine the scientific links between periodontitis and systemic pathologies, incorporating perspectives from public health experts and health economists, including Jaime Pinilla from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Pompeu Fabra University’s Center for Research in Economics and Health (CRES).
