Sepang International Circuit hosts Formula 1 racing in Malaysia

Formula 1 racing has returned to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, highlighting the nation's position as a major motorsport and tourism destination in Asia. The event at the state-of-the-art facility, located near Kuala Lumpur, aims to attract international visitors and racing enthusiasts.

Tourism Malaysia Director Mohd Faharuddin Hatmin noted that the event serves as an opportunity to elevate Malaysia’s profile as a premier travel destination. Additionally, Gulf Air, the title sponsor, is enhancing connectivity between Bahrain and Malaysia with the scheduled launch of direct flights to Kuala Lumpur on 29 September 2026.
