The attack took place near a gas distributor around 12:30 PM, where Khun was intercepted and shot 15 times. This incident follows a reported previous attempt on his life in 2020. Local authorities are investigating the motive in this border region near Brazil.

In Bucaramanga, Colombia, 34-year-old Héctor Andrés Jaimes Durán was fatally shot at the San Andresito La Isla shopping center.
