Separate knife attacks reported in Dominican Republic and Mexico

In San José de Ocoa, Dominican Republic, Oliver Castillo Lachapell is recovering in San José Hospital after being stabbed twice during an altercation at an alcohol establishment in the San Rafael sector. Authorities are investigating the motives behind the incident. The alleged assailant, Randel Batista Martínez, remains at large. He is also suspected in the death of 66-year-old Danilo Victoriano, which occurred near Agua Juliana.

In Mapimí, Mexico, a 19-year-old day laborer identified as Eduardo was injured during a fight at a property in the Ceballos locality. After receiving first aid, he was transported to the General Hospital in Gómez Palacio. The Vice-Prosecutor's Office of the State of Durango, Laguna Region, has opened an investigation to identify and apprehend the person responsible for the attack.
