Separate robbery attempts reported in Mexico and Guatemala

In Mexico, an attempted robbery on the Pachuca-Actopan highway resulted in a vehicle accident near the Barrio del Judío bridge. According to the Hidalgo Secretariat of Mobility and Transport (Semot), a passenger allegedly attempted to assault a taxi driver, causing injuries to the driver's hand and face. During the struggle, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole, which subsequently caused a motorcyclist to crash. Two people, the driver and the motorcyclist, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

In Guatemala, an armed robbery attempt occurred at the El Incienso bridge. A 26-year-old driver, identified as Eduardo Andrés Cruz, was shot and seriously wounded by unidentified individuals on a motorcycle attempting to steal his belongings. The suspects fled the scene, and the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry are conducting investigations to locate those responsible.
