Quilino truck driver in critical condition following suspected assault

A 54-year-old truck driver is in critical condition with a diagnosis of brain death after being found unconscious at a service station in Quilino, Córdoba province. While initial suspicions pointed toward a hemorrhagic stroke, medical examinations revealed a severe skull fracture consistent with a blunt force impact, shifting the investigation toward a criminal assault.

Authorities are investigating a hypothesis that the victim had a clandestine encounter with the wife of another truck driver, which may have led to a violent confrontation. The investigation, led by Prosecutor Analía Cepede, aims to reconstruct the events that occurred at the service station on Route 851 to determine the exact circumstances of the attack.
