Separate traffic accidents reported in Germany and Austria
Two distinct traffic incidents occurred in late October. In Caputh, Germany, a Hyundai veered off a rain-slicked road on Michendorfer Chaussee, colliding with a guardrail and a tree. The impact wedged the vehicle between the tree and the rail, resulting in total loss of the car. Two men were injured and transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating whether excessive speed contributed to the crash.
In the Vöcklabruck district of Upper Austria, a truck transporter overturned on the B154 highway near Zell am Moos. The trailer, carrying approximately 700 chickens, skidded into a ditch and across the roadway. More than 60 firefighters responded to the scene to rescue the animals. While some poultry escaped and were recaptured, an unknown number of animals died at the scene. The driver remained uninjured, and a replacement truck was arranged to transport the surviving animals.
