SEPB holds open house days and supports Faso Mêbo in Koupéla
The Société d’exploitation des phosphates du Burkina (SEPB) held its third edition of open house days in Koupéla on August 12, 2026. During the event, the company’s staff provided a donation valued at 1,300,000 FCFA to the presidential initiative ‘Faso Mêbo’ at the Kourittenga agency.
The donation included 45 tons of granite, 225 liters of demolding oil, various tools such as wheelbarrows, shovels, and helmets, as well as watering hoses. SEPB Director General Jean Ouédraogo stated the gesture demonstrates the staff's commitment to supporting national development dynamics.
In addition to the donation, SEPB organized a panel discussion aimed at strengthening social cohesion and peaceful cohabitation with the four villages surrounding the factory. The session included awareness training on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and AIDS. Local leaders and authorities, including the High Commissioner of Kourittenga, Moctar Ilboudo, participated in the proceedings.
