SEPH and Casio Mexico evaluate math education technology pilot

The Hidalgo Secretariat of Public Education (SEPH) and Casio Mexico have analyzed the results of the CASIO Educación México Pilot Project. The initiative was implemented at the Escuela Secundaria General ‘Reforma y Libertad’ to explore how technological tools can strengthen mathematics instruction.

During the evaluation, officials noted that the project helps incorporate new tools to develop digital competencies. The use of specific tools, such as ClassWiz, was highlighted for its ability to optimize instructional time, support formative assessment, and foster learning experiences focused on reasoning, analysis, and problem-solving.

Casio Mexico’s General Director, Takeda Hirofumi, emphasized the company’s connection to the educational sector globally and the importance of sharing experiences regarding technology as a support resource for teaching mathematics. SEPH indicated that this exercise is part of broader efforts to promote educational innovation, teacher training, and improved learning through the appropriate use of technology.
