Sephora expands 'Clean at SEPHORA' global beauty certification
Sephora has expanded its 'Clean at SEPHORA' program, a global initiative launched in April 2024 to help consumers identify beauty products that meet specific formulation standards. The program uses a seal to highlight brands that avoid certain controversial ingredients, often exceeding standard global regulatory requirements.
Developed over two years in collaboration with NGOs and a committee of independent experts, the initiative currently includes more than 170 brands worldwide, such as Fenty Skin, Glow Recipe, and Haus Labs. In the European market, the program is commercially significant, with over 40 participating brands accounting for more than 10% of total sales.
