September 11 anniversary marked by major television specials

Major television networks and streaming platforms have announced extensive programming to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

ABC will broadcast a live special titled ‘9/11 Tribute in Light: Live From Lower Manhattan’ from Ground Zero, featuring anchors David Muir, Robin Roberts, and Diane Sawyer. The program will include musical performances by artists such as Cyndi Lauper and Lainey Wilson. Additionally, ABC is airing ‘9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later,’ a documentary hosted by Michael Strahan exploring the cultural impact of the attacks.

CBS is scheduled to air ‘9/11: We Remember,’ a special anchored by Tony Dokoupil that focuses on stories of survival and loss. The History Channel will present ‘102 Minutes Inside the Towers,’ a documentary utilizing first-person interviews and visual effects to provide a moment-by-moment account of the events within the towers.
