Sepultura performs final Rock in Rio set ahead of farewell tour end

Brazilian metal band Sepultura has performed its final set at the Rock in Rio festival, marking a significant milestone in their farewell tour, ‘Celebrating Life Through Death’. The performance at the Palco Mundo stage follows a long history with the festival dating back to 1991.

The band’s final official performance is scheduled for November 7 in São Paulo. Originally planned for the Arena Pacaembu, Live Nation Brasil announced that the venue has been changed to Suhai Music Hall. This move represents a significant reduction in capacity, moving from a 25,000-seat stadium to a 9,000-capacity venue.

Tickets for the final show are reportedly sold out. The closing concert will feature opening acts including Krisiun, Metal Allegiance, and Sacred Reich, alongside special guests. The event concludes more than 40 years of musical activity for the influential metal group.
