Sepultura performs farewell set at Rock in Rio
Brazilian metal band Sepultura performed a farewell show at Rock in Rio, marking a significant moment in their 'Celebrating Life Through Death' tour. The performance, held under heavy rain, focused on the band's era with vocalist Derrick Green, featuring songs released from 1998 onwards.
The setlist included tracks from their latest EP, 'The Cloud of Unknowing', and debuted the song 'Sacred Books' live. While the decision to omit classics from the Max Cavalera era, such as 'Roots Bloody Roots', drew mixed reactions from some fans, the show was noted for its technical precision and energy.
This appearance at the festival is one of the band's many throughout their history, and it serves as a penultimate stop before their final scheduled performance in São Paulo this November.
