Serang City implements CCTV surveillance and asset certification
The Serang City Government is implementing several initiatives to improve public services and administrative oversight. The city has deployed 26 CCTV cameras across 13 vital locations, including Sayabulu, Ciceri, and the Banten Lama Terminal, to monitor public spaces, security, and traffic flow. These cameras are intended to support law enforcement and will eventually be integrated with government response systems to accelerate incident handling.
In a separate administrative effort, Mayor Budi Rustandi announced a target to certify 300 regional assets by 2026. This initiative follows a memorandum of understanding with the Serang City Land Office to provide legal certainty for government property and follow directives from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). While approximately 3,000 assets remain uncertified, the current push aims to improve regional financial management and support investment stability.
