Serang City launches Sambat Camat digital complaint system
The Serang City Government has launched ‘Sambat Camat’, a public service innovation in the Curug District designed to accelerate responses to community complaints and aspirations. The program utilizes a digital barcode scanning system, allowing residents to submit consultations and grievances easily without needing to visit the district office in person.
Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi praised the initiative, noting that it provides a formal channel for issues that were previously often raised via social media without optimal follow-up. He emphasized that local officials must be proactive in addressing citizen needs, stating that he would replace any officials who fail to respond to public complaints. The Mayor intends for this model to be implemented across all districts in Serang City.
