Serang District Attorney to build new seized goods storage facility

The Serang District Attorney's Office (Kejari Serang) is set to establish a new State Seized Goods Storage House (Rupbasan) in the Taktakan district of Serang City. This follows the signing of a regional grant agreement and handover of assets between Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi and Head of Kejari Serang, Dado Achmad Ekroni.

The facility will occupy 4,750 square meters of land. According to Dado Achmad Ekroni, the Rupbasan is intended to serve as a centralized storage hub for evidence and seized items not only for Kejari Serang but also for prosecutor offices throughout the Banten province. This is particularly significant for corruption cases, as the corruption court is located in Serang City.

Beyond storage, the facility is planned to be multifunctional, potentially serving as a site for public auctions of seized assets.
