Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi provides aid after house collapse

Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi visited the site of a collapsed house in Kelurahan Unyur, Serang, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to provide immediate assistance to the resident, Munajah.

The incident occurred on the night of Friday, September 18, during heavy rain and strong winds. The structure, which the resident noted was aged, collapsed around 11:00 PM. Munajah and her two children were unharmed as they were located at the rear of the house at the time of the collapse.

Mayor Rustandi provided cash assistance to help cover the costs of home renovations. During his visit, the Mayor emphasized that local government services remain active even on weekends, noting that officials are also working to secure additional central government funding for infrastructure, health, and education.
