Seraphim introduces hybrid dual dynamic driver IEMs

Seraphim, a collaboration involving ZiiGaat and Jay Audio, has introduced a new premium in-ear monitor (IEM) featuring a hybrid driver configuration designed to provide high-impact bass without compromising midrange clarity.

The device utilizes a 2DD + 3BA hybrid layout. This architecture employs isobaric dual dynamic drivers specifically to manage the sub-bass and low-end frequencies, aiming to provide a 10 dB sub-bass lift. By dedicating separate dynamic drivers to different parts of the bass spectrum, the design seeks to prevent the common issue where heavy bass obscures vocals, guitars, and other mid-range details.

To handle the remaining frequency ranges, the IEM incorporates three balanced armatures. This includes dual Knowles RAF 32873 drivers for the midrange to maintain vocal and instrument separation, and a RAD 33518 ultra-tweeter for high-frequency detail. The engineering goal is to provide a solution for electronic music professionals and DJs who require both physical bass impact and technical accuracy for mixing.
