Serasa implements document-based process for personal data corrections

Serasa has established specific procedures for consumers to correct personal data, such as name or date of birth, through a documented analysis process. While common information like phone numbers, email, and address can be edited directly in the personal data area using a CPF and password, changes to names or birth dates require a formal request via the ‘Fale com a gente’ channel.

To complete these requests, users must submit a selfie and legible images of official identification, such as an RG, CNH, or National Identity Card. Serasa aims to provide a response within five business days. This process is a cadastral update and does not automatically increase a Serasa Score or remove debts. These rights to data correction are supported by the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
