Serb rights official reports annual attacks in FBiH

Đorđe Radanović, Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), reported that between 60 and 70 attacks on Serbs or their property occur annually in the entity.

Radanović expressed concern regarding the lack of feedback from police and prosecution services, noting that many reported incidents, including the desecration of cemeteries, do not result in criminal or misdemeanor charges. He specifically cited a recent attack in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Vogošća, where suspects were reportedly released.

Regarding demographics, Radanović stated that the number of Serbs living in the FBiH has declined significantly, estimating the current population at between 25,000 and 30,000 individuals, compared to 541,000 according to the 1991 census. He also emphasized the importance of financial support from the Republic of Srpska to municipalities such as Drvar, Grahovo, Glamoč, and Bosanski Petrovac.
