Serbia addresses foreign policy and Kosovo security concerns

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Speaker of the Assembly Ana Brnabić have addressed the country's complex geopolitical position and security concerns regarding Kosovo and Metohija.

Brnabić praised Vučić’s foreign policy, noting Serbia’s ability to maintain strategic dialogues with the United States and China, host the Non-Aligned Movement, and maintain communication with Russia while pursuing a European path. She emphasized that Serbia has avoided imposing sanctions on Russia and maintains a principled stance that has earned recognition from leaders like Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Separately, President Vučić expressed deep concern regarding intelligence reports of potential violence against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. He stated he has received a written response from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding the situation, the contents of which will be shared in the coming days. Vučić cautioned against any potential conflict with NATO, noting the high stakes for the country.
