Serbia advances major infrastructure projects in Lučani and Prahovo

Serbia is proceeding with significant infrastructure investments in the regions of Lučani and Prahovo. In Lučani, a construction permit has been issued for a new pedestrian bridge over the Bjelica river. The project, valued at nearly 38 million dinars, includes a 74.2-meter bridge structure, access roads, hydrotechnical works, and public lighting to ensure safety and functionality.

In Prahovo, a 45.5 million euro reconstruction and expansion of the Prahovo Port is underway, fully funded by the Serbian state budget. The project aims to create a modern Danube port featuring a green terminal for processing waste oils from ships, similar to facilities in Germany. The expansion will integrate water, rail, and road transport, supporting local industries such as Eliksir Prahovo. Additionally, a new bypass near Negotin has been approved to divert heavy and hazardous cargo from local roads, improving air quality and road safety.
