Serbia advances to volleyball European Championship quarter-finals
The Serbian women's national volleyball team has advanced to the quarter-finals of the European Championship following a 3-1 victory over Croatia in Brno. Despite losing the first set 19-25, Serbia recovered to win the subsequent sets 25-19, 25-17, and 25-12.
Key performers for Serbia included Tijana Bošković and Aleksandra Uzelac, who both scored 18 points. The match was marked by the absence of Minja Osmajić, who was forced to withdraw due to a hand injury. Serbian head coach Zoran Terzić noted that while the team showed resilience, they must maintain high levels of concentration for the knockout stages.
Serbia is scheduled to face Greece in the quarter-finals this Wednesday at 16:00. Greece secured their spot after defeating France 3-0. Although Serbia previously beat Greece 3-0 in the group stage, Terzić cautioned that the elimination format will make the upcoming match significantly more challenging.
