Serbia and Austria hold bilateral political consultations in Vienna

A Serbian delegation, led by State Secretary Nevena Jovanović, participated in bilateral political consultations with the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna. The discussions focused on European Union integration and strengthening political dialogue between the two nations.

During meetings with Austrian officials, including Secretary General Nikolaus Marschik and Director General Elisabeth Kornfaynd, both sides reaffirmed their high level of bilateral relations. Key topics included deepening economic cooperation, noting that Austria remains the third-largest foreign investor in Serbia.

Austria expressed strong support for Serbia’s progress toward EU membership. The delegations also discussed the situation in the Western Balkans, highlighting Serbia’s role in maintaining regional peace, stability, and good neighborly relations.
