Serbia and North Macedonia reach record 441.9 million euro trade level

Serbia and North Macedonia have reached a record agricultural and food product trade volume of 441.9 million euros in 2025. Of this total, Serbian exports accounted for 322.6 million euros. This upward trend has continued into the first half of 2026, with Serbian exports reaching 162.3 million euros, representing a 6.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

To support this growth, Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamočić met with his North Macedonian counterpart, Borče Serafimovski, in Belgrade. The discussions focused on accelerating and simplifying trade procedures for agricultural and food products while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.

Both ministers emphasized the importance of risk-based controls to prevent unnecessary delays in the movement of safe goods. Specific attention was given to the control regimes for milk and dairy products. The two nations agreed to maintain direct communication between technical services to resolve trade issues efficiently.
