Serbia and North Macedonia reaffirm EU reform commitments
Serbian Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović told parliament that the government remains devoted to the EU accession path, will continue drawing funds from the Western Balkans Growth Plan and seeks phased access to the EU single market, including a future roaming‑free zone. He noted the European Commission’s sixth recommendation to open Cluster 3 negotiations with Belgrade.
North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said his cabinet is the only country in the region delivering the reform agenda by the December deadline. He pledged to implement all required changes, refuse any capitulations, and leave the final assessment of membership eligibility to the European Commission.
Both leaders emphasized that progress on reforms will determine whether their countries move closer to EU membership.
