Serbia and Somalia discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in Belgrade
Miliica Đurđević Stamenkovski, Serbia’s Minister for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, met with Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Aliye, in Belgrade. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, specifically regarding labor, employment, and the exchange of professional experiences.
The meeting took place ahead of the upcoming 65th anniversary commemoration of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade. Both officials noted the long-standing diplomatic ties between Serbia and Somalia, which have spanned 66 years. The ministers expressed interest in strengthening political dialogue and transforming their traditional friendship into a modern, substantive partnership, particularly through increased engagement with African nations in education and youth development.
